THE REASON FOR THE SEASON

It was really fun to take a second go at doing a shoot with the nativity costumes that I received as a gift this year. It was quite an adventure trying to position dogs and kids of varying ages and then getting the shot off before they all moved again! Crazy! I would never have been able to do it without my wonderful and dear friend who was willing to join in the fray. Thanx SO much "M" for taking time to help, you are my angel!
I was really happy with the way these turned out, esp for a first try this year. I am sure with more practice we will come up with even more ideas and fun.
A great big THANK YOU also goes out to the Setniker ladies for all of their help and generosity in allowing us to come out and do so many shoots in the last few weeks! You have been wonderful and I appreciate you so very much!

I just loved the way these turned out. I think I may still try to do some tweaking, but playing with the costumes and the special projects in the last few weeks has really been so much fun!

This little mister is SO stinkin' cute! He made a darling shepard and trying to get him and the dogs to stay put long enough to get pictures was a riot. We were laughing at the dogs going one way, and this cutie going the other. It is always a fun adventure to photograph animals and little people!

HEARTS & HANDS THAT SERVE WITH LOVE

Recently I was asked to help with a special project that focused on service. There are so many ways that people can serve one another, all the year round.
Making a wonderful loaf of bread and soup and taking it to someone in need. Being willing to just go and visit someone. Spending time on the phone checking in on others, those on each end of the phone can receive great blessings from just chatting. Being willing to visit someone and read to them or share a special message can brighten an otherwise dark day. Sharing a special gift or talent to help another to improve their health or well being. The possibilities are endless.
At this special holiday season, there are so many ways we can share and serve one another. Remembering that we can help others and serve with our hearts and hands throughout the year is a goal I know that I will personally be working on.
Thank you "M" for asking me to help with this project and for allowing me to give a service to you and others. This experience has meant so much to me and I know that I am the one blessed because of it!

Each of the young ladies held a candle during the opening of the concert. The soft light plus the extraordinary voices blended perfectly was quite an experience.
The girls sang in a very old, very large church building. They had it decorated so lovely for the occassion of the concert. It was fun to just play with the camera and try to capture all the different feelings of the night.

As the young ladies in the choir sang, a special guest walked up the aisle. The littlest girls were esp excited and surprised, and it was fun to see the expressions on their faces!

I tried another holiday experiment this year and the kids were great to give it a try. I received these costumes from a family member and have been anxious to try them on a shoot. I was very pleased with the results and look forward to giving them another try soon. Thanx kiddos for being willing to be my "guinea pigs" :)
